Cold This Morning

Shoot, mercury under twenty degrees reminding me it's still February and spring is a ways off. Titmice and cardinals in the naked forsythia down by the creek's edge lookin about for something to eat. It's a hungry season for everybody. Yesterday afternoon I was driving back up here through central Jersey, watchin the buzzards ride the thermals and the lazy red-tails hangin out on the lampposts. Flocks of geese near the airport. Ring-bills crying over Kearny.

Sweet Lou says, "You gotta establish a routine, get up and get in a groove. Otherwise your days will run away from you." Yeah, otherwise shipwreck among abundance.
